Fala Chen participate in Gordon Chan's horror film

Monday, 27 May 2013

Tales from the Dark 1 & 2 is considered a heavyweight film, since it is produced by the award-winning film Cold War producer Matthew Tang. There are a total of six small stories in the two-part film, each directed by HK film industry's big players Gordon Chan, Fruit Chan, Lawrence Lau, Teddy Robin, Simon Yam and Lee Chai Ngai. The horror film stars Kelly Chen, Tony Leung (Kar Fai), Maggie Siu and Dada Chan.

Yesterday at 6AM, Fala appeared at North Point dressed in a long blue dress with her long scattered hair and light makeup. At the scene, Fala had a restless and agitated expression on her face and carried an old styled grocery bag loitering on the street. It looks like all that training she received from TVB paid off, she acted like a female ghost while the cameras rolled and looked very much into character. In between scenes, she listened to director Gordon Chan's instructions intently, demonstrating her professionalism.

Gordon Lam Praises Fala's Professionalism

Gordon Lam has many scenes opposite of Fala, yesterday he accepted a telephone interview and praised Fala's professionalism. He said: "She performed very well, placed a lot of effort into it and did all her homework. This film is a huge challenge to both Fala and myself because we both have two different types of extreme emotions to convey. I think Fala was able to deliver and performed very well! (You're very pleased with Fala's performance?) I am very pleased with the whole crew's efforts." Fala and Gordon both started out as television artists and then switched to the film scene, did Gordon give Fala any tips? Gordon laughed: "She's so hardworking, it's really not necessary! Actually me and her cooperate well, we're able to create something new together."

Also, in regards to the rumor that Fala is moving into the film scene after her TVB contract expires? Fala's spokesperson expressed: "Fala is concentrating purely on filming, all interviews will be arranged by the film production company."

extra news: a lovely weibo friend of mine (Bessip), works with Fala, shared that the filming process took almost month. (also thanks Bessip for always share news and updates on Fala, your such a sweet girl.)

Thoughts: such many negative comments about Fala, I think it's no one's business. Every actor in this showbiz wants to try new things and earn money. There's no free lunch for anybody, I respect Fala for her high ambitions and if she wants to rest or keep working it's no one's business.

p.s. she's doing heck of a good job playing a ghost (haha) look

Thoughts: Fala made like 3 costume changes. I guess this is where Holiday (Fala) and Zoe (Myolie) meet before Zoe past away since Myolie had her long hair while filming.

Thursday, 11 October 2012

Fala Chen and Raymond Lam filming presentation clip for upcoming drama "A Eat for Slave" last night at TV City. Raymond will play the emperor, Fala will be a fierce martial art fighter, Fala fight through the whole process, asked if she was fear of injury? Fala said: "It's fine, I have a fighting scene with Nancy Wu, feels like dancing, I land on the ground, stretching and exercise helped. But also love the feeling of it, I hope to develop as a female fighter, we also have a teacher that teaches martial arts to help us cope with filming needs.

Thoughts: We were correct, it is ancient. But sadly not comedy, I hope it will be a light cool off, with a little romance drama. Although we never know what comes to the mind of TVB. Cast are still unconfirmed, and it could change. Again, btw this filming period is short and only for the Presentation for next year. Not officially filming.

Da Mo Yao Synopsis

Saturday, 18 August 2012

Another periodic drama based on Tong Hua's novel is about to appear in front of you in a few months, after the successful "Bu Bu Jing Xin" the crew once again brought a new novel to life. The drama features numerous popular stars such as Cecilia Liu, Hu Ge, Eddie Pang, Fala Chen, Kristal Tin etc.

Sypnosis

The time period was set in the Han Dynasty, Cecilia Liu as Yu Jin "wolf girl", who grew up with a bundle of wolves. She was later adopted by a barbarous and learned to write and fight. Her father passed away in a uprising, then decided to travel to Chang'an and meet Hu Ge's character (Meng Jiu) and Eddie Peng's character Qu Bing.

Eddie plays a warrior and Hu Ge plays a disable man, Hu Ge and Cecilia falls for each other but as soon as that happens Eddie expressed his love to her as well. Cecilia declare her love to hu Ge, but he refuse in return due to his disability and feelings of quality. With the feelings of rejection, she returns home and Eddie who was still attached to her follows her back as well. During the trip, both faces hardship and challenges together then later falls for one another.

Fala Chen as Li Yan and Kristal Tin as Hong Gu plays Cecilia's close friends, Fala later becomes the emperor's favorite concubine. In her plans to make her son the Crown Prince, she deviously schemed Eddie and Cecilia. With that in hand, another vigorous force was out to set their lives in danger.

Thoughts: I read most part of the novel, seems like Fala's character is devious and hard minded, but she did it all for her son. I still prefer Bu Bu Jing Xin, such a great and bold novel and no need to say about the drama. I personally love Hu Ge.

On the other hand, the three friends Cecilia, Fala and Kristal are still Weiboing.

Kristal: A day with the vulgar (she means lacking off, having fun, being silly.)
Fala: Mr. on my left tell me 2?
Cecilia: Positive solutions hahahaha
